Thao Nguyen Regional General Hospital is a public health facility under the Department of Health of Son La province, located in Hospital II, Thao Nguyen ward, Moc Chau town. Previously, the hospital was called Thao Nguyen General Hospital, established in 1966 with the predecessor being Moc Chau Farm Hospital. After Moc Chau district and Van Ho district were merged into Moc Chau town on July 1, 2025, the hospital was reorganized as a regional hospital, serving the entire town and neighboring areas. The hospital currently has a scale of more than 480 actual beds, with a team of over 200 medical staff, including nearly 60 doctors. The specialties here include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Resuscitation - Emergency, Traditional Medicine, Ear - Nose - Throat, Eye, Dentistry - Jaw - Face, along with modern paraclinical systems such as CT-Scanner, MRI, digital X-ray, endoscopy, and automatic testing. The hospital is the first unit in the province to implement acute stroke treatment with thrombolysis, and is also a highlight in neonatal care, cooperating in training with international organizations such as Newborns Vietnam.
