Meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 130th Anniversary of the Founding of Son La Province

The 130th anniversary of Son La province is expected to take place in early October 2025 at Tay Bac Square. Celebration activities include: Literature and art composition contest with the theme "Son La 130 years of formation and development"; groundbreaking and inauguration of a number of major works and projects of the province; organization of the Son La Ethnic Culture Festival; display of booths introducing achievements in socio-economic development; tourism products, safe agricultural products, OCOP products of Son La province; Thai Xoe Art Festival; performance of excerpts from festivals or traditional rituals of Son La ethnic groups; competition of traditional sports; competition to display and introduce agricultural products of localities, etc.

In preparation for the Anniversary, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department issued an outline for propaganda to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Son La Province's founding; directed and oriented the team of reporters, propagandists and provincial and central press agencies located in the province to organize information and propaganda on publications and types of press. Departments and branches advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Son La Province's founding; decided to establish the Organizing Committee; sub-committees; drafted the framework of the Anniversary program, estimated the budget for organizing activities; developed plans, ensured security and order, fire prevention and fighting, food hygiene and safety... Son La Newspaper, Radio and Television have built specialized pages, columns, trailers, news and propaganda articles towards the 130th anniversary of the province's founding.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet emphasized: The 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province is a particularly important political event of the province; affirming and honoring the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province in the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland. Especially, the achievements in the cause of national renewal.
